Forty-eight-hour curfews have been imposed in two Clarendon communities. The curfews began at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3 and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5.
The first curfew affects communities in Hayes in the parish. The boundaries are as follows:
North: From Wembley Centre of Excellence to New Village along an imaginary line
South: From Land Lease to Raymond’s along an imaginary line.
East: From New Village to Land Lease along an imaginary line
West: From Raymond’s to Wembley Centre of Excellence along an imaginary line.
The second curfew affects communities in Portland Cottage in the parish. The boundaries are as follows:
North: From Portland Cottage Crossing to Shearers Heights Entrance along the Portland Cottage Main Road.
South: From the back of Shearers Heights to the intersection of Dry Hill Road and Jackson Bay Road along an imaginary line.
East: From Shearers Heights Entrance to the back of the community along an imaginary line.
West: From Dry Hill Road and Jackson Bay Road to the Portland Cottage and the Rocky Point intersection along an imaginary line.
During the hours of the curfew, persons within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorized by the person in charge of enforcing the curfew.
