Clifford Chambers has served the Jamaica Constabulary Force for 35 years and was Commander for the Area 1 Police Formation at the time of his appointment as the Force’s Staff Officer.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Public Sector Management and Accounting, a Bachelor’s of Science (B.Sc) Degree in Accounting and Public Sector Management from the University of London and a Certificate in Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School. He was called to the Bar in 2022.
ACP Chambers commanded the Police Fraud Squad Division, the Organized Crime Investigation Division (OCID) and was instrumental in its transition to the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC), which occurred under his command. He also commanded the Security Intelligence Branch (SIB) and headed the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB). He was the Security Attaché assigned to the Jamaica Embassy in Washington DC for five years and was presented with the Medal of Honour for Meritorious Service.
