Twenty-three-year-old George Shakespeare, a fisherman of Cattaboo district in St. Elizabeth has been charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm, Assault at Common Law and Malicious Destruction of Property following an incident in Slipe district in the parish on Friday, November 09, 2020.
Reports from the Black River Police are that about 1:00 p.m., the accused pulled a firearm from his waistband and pointed it at the complainant after they got into an argument. The complainant ran off and went home. Later about 2:00 p.m., the accused reportedly went to the complainant’s home, where he allegedly kicked the front door and damaged it.
The matter was reported to the police and Shakespeare was later arrested and subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised.
