ST. CATHERINE SOUTH HOSTS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION MEN’S CONFERENCE
The St. Catherine South Police hosted a Domestic Violence Men’s Conference at the Portmore Domestic Violence Intervention Centre. The event, held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), aimed to address the issue of domestic violence and promote healthier relationships.
Men from various organizations, including the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Jamaica Fire Brigade, Jamaica Transport Authority, and the Jamaica Constabulary Force Cadet Academy, gathered for the event. The theme for this year’s DVAM, “Heal, Hold and Center, Choose a Better Way,” encouraged a new approach to resolving domestic issues.
The conference featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including Mrs. Lori-Ann Cole-Montique, Senior Parish Judge; Mr. Michael Campbell, Superintendent of Police, Commanding Officer for the St. Catherine South Division; and Ms. Paulett Baker, DSP, Community Safety and Security Branch Officer – St. Catherine South Division.
