CURFEW EXTENDED IN THE ST ANDREW SOUTH POLICE DIVISION

The 48-hour curfew that was imposed in sections of the St. Andrew South Police Division has been extended for another 48 hours. The curfew began at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20 and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22.

The areas of the curfew are as follows:

East: An imaginary line at Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue travelling southerly to the East Avenue intersecting at Marcus Garvey Drive.

South: An imaginary line from the coastline at Marcus Garvey Drive in the vicinity of East Avenue to Duhaney River.

West: An imaginary line from the Duhaney River to Kingston Harbour.

North: An imaginary line from the Happy Grove community continues onto the Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue intersection, following the divisional boundary.

During the hours of the curfew, all persons within its boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
