48-HOUR CURFEW IMPOSED IN SECTIONS OF THE HANOVER POLICING DIVISION

 A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in the Logwood, Malcolm Heights and Englin Town communities in Hanover. The curfew will began at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, January 09, and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, January 11.

The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

Logwood

North: From the Logwood square running along the River Head Road to the intersection of Campbelton Road.

East: From the intersection of River Head Road and Campbelton Road to a track leading to the back of Dam Road.

South: From the back of Dam Road running along a track at the back of Orange Bay Road.

West: From the track at the back of Orange Bay Road running along to the Logwood square.

Malcolm Heights

North: Starting at Millers Drive running along the Millers Drive main road to a one way road beside SKLO Harberdashery.

East: From the one way road beside SKLO Harberdashery to the GVS gas station at the entrance to Old Road, Lucea.

South: From the GVS gas station to the deep corner in Malcolm Heights.

West: From the deep corner in Malcolm Heights to the T-junction at Millers Drive.

Englin Town

North: At the entrance of the molasses plant in Elgin Town along an imaginary line to the back of Binns Lane in Elgin Town.

East: From the back of Binns Lane along an imaginary line leading to the old Kew Bridge.

South: From the Kew bridge along the Elgin Town Back Road to the Aston King bridge along the Elgin main road.

West: From the Aton King Bridge along the Elgin Town main road to the  entrance of the molasses plant in Elgin Town.

During the hours of the curfew, persons within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the person in charge of enforcing the curfew.
