48-HOUR CURFEW IMPOSED IN SECTIONS OF THE ST. ANDREW SOUTH POLICING DIVISION

A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in the St. Andrew South Policing Division. The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Friday, January 16, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm Sunday, January 18.

The boundaries of the curfew are:

North – From Happy Grove community drawn to Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield intersection following the divisional boundary.

South- From the coastline at Marcus Garvey Drive vicinity East Avenue to Duhaney River.

East- From Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue traveling southerly to East Avenue intersecting at Marcus Garvey Drive.

West- From the Duhaney River to Kingston Harbor

 

Persons within the boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorized by the ground commander.
