A St. James man was slapped with three counts of Shooting with Intent and Illegal Possession of a Firearm in relation to an October 2022 shooting incident in Green Pond, St. James.
Charged is 23-year-old Brandean Cousley of Cornwall Courts in the parish.
Reports from the Montego Bay police are that about 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, three men were sitting in a yard in the Green Pond community when they were approached by Cousley, who brandished a firearm and opened gunfire in their direction. The men ran to escape injury, after which their attacker escaped on foot in the area.
A report was later made to the police, and following an intensive investigation, Cousley was arrested and taken into custody on Friday, January 12. He was charged five days later, after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
