The St. Elizabeth Police arrested and charged 37-year-old Leo Foster of Grosmond district in the parish following an incident on Wednesday, March 27.
Foster was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, three counts of Robbery, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony, and Unlawful Wounding after he was seen armed with a gun in a video with five other men robbing a bar.
Reports from the Black River Police are that on Friday, April 12, lawmen were on an operation in the area when they were confronted by one of the robbers, who was fatally shot. Foster, who was in the area, was later arrested, after he was also identified from the video, and taken into custody where charges were laid against him following a question-and-answer session.
As the investigations continue, a court date is being finalised for him.
