Three men from different parishes have been charged with Robbery with Aggravation following an incident along Gerbera drive, Mona in Kingston 07 on Friday, August 02.
They are:
- 26-year-old Jovonnie Miller otherwise called ‘Jade’ of Three Hill, district St. Mary
- 23-year-old Dwight Davis otherwise called ‘Kayla’ of Little London, Westmoreland and
- 19-year-old Nickyle Hutchinson otherwise called ‘Tahlia’ a costomotologist of West Street, Kingston.
Reports from the Halfway Tree police are that about 7:30 p.m., Davis, Hutchinson and Miller boarded a taxi at the Crossroads bus park dressed as women and requested that they be dropped at the mentioned area. Upon reaching the location Davis placed a knife against the taxi operator’s throat and removed the keys from the ignition of the vehicle.
The men further relieved the man of his cellular phone and dragged him from the vehicle into the dwelling house. The men further relived the taxi operator of his black Samsung tablet which valued at $10,000JMD, Samsung Galaxy s20 smartphone valued at $72,000JMD and $18,000JMD.
The man was severely beaten before he was thrown from the house with his car keys only. A report was made to the police and an operation conducted at the premises where Miller, Davis and Hutchinson were found; arrested and subsequently charged.
Their court date is being finalized.
