FIVE MEN ARRESTED IN COCAINE BUST CHARGED

The five persons who were arrested in connection to the major cocaine bust in St. Andrew on Tuesday, August 6 have been charged.

The men were interviewed in the presence of their attorneys and charged on Friday, August 16. They have been charged with Possession of Cocaine, Dealing in Cocaine, Trafficking Cocaine and Conspiracy.

Charged are 57-year-old Clive Davis, 58-year-old Collin Ricketts, 51-year-old George Sterling, 42-year-old Clayton Peart and 72-year-old Junior Haldane.

Reports are officers from Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) , with support from other units within the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Division conducted an operation at a premises in Havendale, Kingston 19. Five persons were arrested and several knitted bags believed to contain cocaine were seized.

It has since been disclosed that the total weight of the substance seized is 2,526.4 kilograms and has an estimated street value of USD $75,792,000.

The FNID, along with its local, regional and international partner agencies are continuing investigation into the matter and are actively pursuing other leads to dismantle other criminal networks. Already since the start of 2024, the Division’s efforts have resulted in the seizure of 86 illegal firearms and 1,154 assorted rounds of ammunition, the seizure of more than US $130,000 worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of 168 individuals, including 21 foreign nationals.

The court dates for the five men are being finalised.
