Kingston Man Charged with Possession of Illegal Weapon and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition

A Kingston man has been charged with Possession of Prohibited Weapon and Unauthourised Possession of Ammunition following a snap raid at his home on Saturday, August 10.

Charged is: 38-year-old Demar Peart otherwise called ‘Bupps’, a farmer of Crescent Road, Kingston 13.

Reports are that at about 12:25 p.m., a police team conducted an operation at Peart’s house. A search of the premises was conducted during which one silver and black Sig Sauer 9mm Pistol with seven rounds of ammunition was found inside the home.

He was subsequently arrested and charged in the presence of an attorney. His court date is being finalised.
