‘Addie Blacks’ Charged for Shooting with Intent

Detectives attached to the St. Catherine North Division have laid Shooting with Intent charges against 33-year-old Rushine Rhoden, otherwise called ‘Addie Blacks’ of Time and Patience in Linstead, St. Catherine; for his involvement in an incident on McKenzie drive in the parish on Wednesday, March 01.

Reports from the Linstead Police are that at about 10:00 p.m., Rhoden allegedly drove a motor car on to McKenzie drive, and opened gunfire in the community before escaping in said motorcar.

The police were summoned and on their arrival, a blue Mazda motorcar was signalled to stop.

Four man alighted from the vehicle and open gunfire at the police who reportedly returned gunfire and the gunmen ran leaving the vehicle behind.

Detectives followed several lines of investigation, and later arrested Rhoden on Wednesday, July 31. Rhoden was charged on Tuesday, August 13.

His court date is being finalized.
