Twenty-eight-year-old Romario Reid a labourer and nineteen-year-old Rajah Rose of Lucea, Hanover were both charged with Burglary, Larceny, Malicious Destruction of Property and Unlawful Wounding in the parish on Monday, August 12.
Reports from the Lucea police are that about 12:02 a.m., the accused men went to the home of the complainant who is said to have thrown a drink on two females the night prior. A tussle ensued between the men and the complainant managed to escape the grasp of the men. It was later discovered that the man’s house was ransacked, and a sum of $9,500.00 JMD was missing from his dresser and his standing fan destroyed.
After the incident the man went to the police station and made a formal report. He left and was again attacked by Reid. The complainant returned to the station where he met Rose and pointed him out to the police. Reid later turned himself in.
Both men were charged on Thursday, August 16 and are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, September 10.
