Man Charged with Breaches of the Firearm Act

The Hunts Bay Police have charged 49-year-old David Williams otherwise called, ‘Dave Ninja’ of Binns Road, Kingston 11 with possession of prohibited weapon and possession of unauthorised ammunition following the seizure of a fireman on Collies Road in the parish on Saturday, September 7.

Reports are that about 11:20 p.m., the police were on patrol in the area when explosions were heard. The team then proceeded to the location to investigate, and upon their arrival, Williams was seen walking along the roadway. On seeing the police Williams dropped an object and ran. A search of the area was conducted and a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol with a magazine containing eight 9mm rounds of ammunition was found.

On Monday, September 9 during a police operation at his home, Williams was arrested. He was charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.

His court date has not been finalised.
