St. James Police Charge man with Murder

Twenty-five-year-old Michael Williams otherwise called ‘Dry Goods’, New Ramble, Bogue in St. James who was wanted by the St. James Police has been charged with Murder, Using a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a prohibited weapon following the shooting death of 35-year-old Wesley Robinson in Ramble in the parish on Sunday, August 11.

Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that between 2:20 a.m., and 6:00 a.m., residents heard loud explosions and summoned them. A search was conducted and Robinson was seen lying in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds. He was assisted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A statement was recorded from an eyewitness and a warrant prepared for Williams. Williams was subsequently arrested in the Bogue area in St. James on Saturday, September 14 and the warrant executed on him where he was charged.

His court date is being finalized.
