Employees Charged for Stealing Gallons of Rum

Detectives attached the St. Elizabeth Policing Division have charged two employees of a business establishment in the parish for the offence of Simple Larceny following an incident on Saturday, September 14.

Charged are 23 years old Javorn Gardon labourer of Littitz district, St. Elizabeth and

59-years-old Manly Richards of Montpellier district, Manchester.

Investigation by the lawmen revealed that on the date mentioned above the men jointly took five bottles of one-gallon white overproof rum valued at $40,500.00 JMD from the establishment, before leaving for their private quarters.

A report was made to the police and an investigation commenced. Evidence led to the arrest and charge of the men.

Their court date is not yet finalised.
