JCF TEAMS BREAK NEW GROUND ON DAY 2 OF SWAT ROUNDUP INTERNATIONAL
Jamaica’s SWAT teams continued their historic campaign at the SWAT Roundup International, wrapping up Day 2 with performances that have firmly established them as formidable contenders on the global stage. Both JCF Department of Weapons and Tactical Training (DWTT) and JCF Specialized Operations have made impressive strides in the tournament, setting new records and earning respect among elite tactical teams from around the world.
DWTT Jamaica Setting New Personal Records
The JCF’s DWTT has already surpassed all previous Jamaican records in the SWAT Roundup International, amassing 79 points by the end of Day 2. This is the first time a Jamaican team has accumulated more than 41 points, and they have achieved this milestone after just two days of competition. Their cumulative time of 22:18.23 placed them 33rd overall among the 50 teams, underscoring a consistent and commendable performance that places them second among the six international teams competing.
In the day’s gruelling events, including the high-stakes QRF/Hostage Rescue, DWTT Jamaica showcased the tactical resilience developed through years of preparation. Their experience at previous SWAT Roundup Internationals proved invaluable as they navigated the complex scenarios and intense physical demands. This milestone achievement highlights the team’s growth and their potential to challenge higher-ranked teams as the competition progresses.
JCF Specialized Operations: A Promising Debut
Competing for the first time at the SWAT Roundup International, JCF Specialized Operations has shown commendable determination and resilience. Although positioned towards the lower end of the rankings with 20 points and a cumulative time of 36:25.90, their performance remains a testament to their tenacity and dedication. This debut appearance provides valuable exposure, as the team gains firsthand experience in one of the world’s most demanding tactical competitions. Already, they are on course to better the best performances of previous seasons in this, their maiden entry.
Guided by DWTT Jamaica, whose members have been instrumental in helping them prepare, JCF Specialized Operations has navigated each challenge with grit. Their participation has set a foundation for growth, equipping them with critical insights that will shape their training and tactics in future competitions. Finishing fifth among the six international teams, they are poised to build on these experiences and could overtake the two Hungarian teams currently ahead of them in third and fourth position.
