‘Coppa’ & ‘Mani’ Face Robbery and Gun Charges

COPPA’ & ‘MANI’ FACE ROBBERY AND GUN CHARGES

 

Two alleged serial robbers who were captured by the police along Jarrett Street, Montego Bay, St. James, on Wednesday, October 16, has been charged with Robbery with Aggravation, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony.

 

Charged are:

  1. 23-year-old Troy Fraser otherwise called ‘Coppa’, of Orange Bay, Hanover and,
  2. 21-years-old Damani McFarlane otherwise called ‘Mani’, of Kew district, Lucea, Hanover.

Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that at about 1:05 p.m.,the complainant was at his business establishment when Fraser and McFarlane entered the establishment brandishing firearms. They robbed the complainant of a undetermined sum of money before making there escape on a waiting motor cycle.

An alarm was immediately raised; and the lawmen arrived on the scene. Both men were sought and later accosted on Jarrett Street in the parish.

They were subsequently charged and a court date is being finalised for them.
