ST ANN MAN FACING DOUBLE CHARGE FOLLOWING BURGLARY
Burglary and Wounding with Intent are the charges laid against 38-year-old Kemar York labourer of Landewy, St. Thomas following an incident in Farm Town, Discovery Bay in the parish on Saturday, October 5.
Reports from the Discovery Bay Police are that about 3:25 a.m., York forcefully entered a woman’s dwelling. The woman was awoken by a loud commotion and went to investigate. She was then attacked by York who used a knife to inflict a wound on her hand. The woman’s son intervened, an alarm was raised and York was held with the help of the neighbours. The police was summoned to the scene and the woman was assisted to the hospital where she was treated and released for injuries obtained. The man was subsequently charged.
York is schedule to attend court on November 18.
