Detectives assigned to the Trelawny Policing Division charged 33-year-old Seon Hylton of Watt Town in the parish with House Breaking and Larceny and Malicious Destruction of Property, following an incident in Retreat Height, Falmouth on Friday, January 17.
Reports from the Falmouth Police are that at about 3:30 p.m., the caretaker of the property visited the house, where she observed suspicious activities in the kitchen. She then saw Hylton on the staircase, who upon seeing her he started to behave in a boisterous manner. He then smashed the glass door of the bedroom, and glass windows of the premises. The woman in a bid to escape, ran from the house.
The police were alerted and upon their arrival, Hylton was seen leaving the house with a television set. He was accosted and subsequently arrested and charged after a question-and-answer session.
Hylton is scheduled to appear before the Trelawny Parish Court on Wednesday, January 22.
