Eighteen-year-old Timanie Bailey, otherwise called ‘Bigga’ of Payne Avenue, Kingston 11, was charged following an incident in Lagos Drive, Tavares Gardens, in the parish on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
Bailey is being charged with Assault at Common Law, Shooting with Intent, Wounding with Intent, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition.
Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that at about 11:55 a.m., Bailey and his friend got into an argument with three men. They left and returned, both armed with firearms, approached the men, and opened gunfire at them before escaping on foot in the area.
A report was made to the police, and Bailey later turned himself in to the police after he was posted on Wanted Wednesdays; he was arrested and later charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalized.
