Thirty-two-year-old Brian Donaldson, a welder of Castleton Drive, New Bowen, Clarendon, had several charges laid against him following an incident in Woodleigh district, in the parish, on Monday, January 13.
He has been charged with Robbery with Aggravation, Burglary and Larceny, Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Using Firearm to Commit a Felony, Unlawful Wounding, Unauthorized Possession of Access Device and Unauthorized Access of Computer Program or Data.
Reports from the May Pen Police are that at about 10:00 a.m., a man was at home when three men, two armed with handguns and one with a machete, forcefully entered his home, began searching, and demanded money. When their demands were not met, the culprits removed several appliances, jewelry, bank cards, and a German shepherd dog. The men later made purchases from the stolen bank cards valued at over $200,000.00 JMD.
After the ordeal, a report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched, followed by an operation during which Donaldson was apprehended. The bank cards, receipts, and 85,000.00 JMD, belonging to the complainant, were found in his possession. He was subsequently charged after a question-and-answer session. Donaldson’s accomplices are still at large and are actively being sought by the police.
A court date for Donaldson is being finalized.
