‘LIKKLE B’ CHARGED WITH BREACHES OF THE NEW FIREARMS ACT
Detectives assigned to the St. Andrew South Division have charged 25-year-old Michael Barrett, otherwise called ‘Likkle B’ of Central Road, Kingston 10, with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthourized Possession of Ammunition following an incident on Maxfield Avenue in the parish on Friday, February 21.
Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that at about 5:30 p.m., lawmen went to Barrett’s premises, where a search was conducted. One Taurus 9mm pistol with a magazine affixed containing eight 9mm rounds was found inside a room. A further search of the area led to the discovery of an additional magazine.
Barrett was arrested and subsequently charged for the breaches of the new firearms act.
His court date is being finalised.
