ST. MARY MEN CHARGED FOR MURDER

Detectives attached to the St. Mary Policing division have laid Murder charges on 42-year-old Prince Irving, otherwise called ‘Fambo,’ a labourer of Canoe Pond, Oracabessa, and 19-year-old Saquan Colthirst, otherwise called ‘Satan’ or ‘Crazy,’ of Airy Hill, Oracabessa, following an incident in the parish on Tuesday, March 4.

Dead is 46-year-old Arthneil Saunders, otherwise called ‘Neily, a delivery driver of Tank Lane, Oracabessa, St. Mary.

Reports from the Oracabessa police are that at about 11:30 p.m., Saunders drove home and was in the process of exiting his vehicle when he was pounced upon by men armed with firearms who opened gunfire, hitting him. The police were summoned, and upon their arrival, Saunders was seen suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was assisted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Colthirst and Irving were later arrested and subsequently charged following their admission to the crime.

Their court dates are being arranged.
