THREE MEN CHARGED WITH LARCENY OF MOTOR VEHICLE
The Halfway Tree Police have charged three men with Larceny of Motor Vehicle, Conspiracy to commit Larceny of Motor Vehicle, and Receiving Stolen Property in relation to an incident that occurred on Constant Spring Road, Kingston 10, on Tuesday, March 11.
They are:
Twenty-three-year-old Jaheim Romeo, otherwise called ‘Jay’, a mechanic of Cassia Park Road, Kingston 10.
Twenty-three-year-old Jevan Mcintosh, otherwise called ‘Jevy’, supervisor of Bob Marley Boulevard, Cooreville Gardens, Kingston 20, and
Forty-four-year-old Omar Campbell, businessman of Leith Hall, Morant Bay, St. Thomas.
Reports are that at about 2:30 p.m., a man drove and parked his Honda Civic motorcar at the mentioned location with the intent of selling the motor vehicle to the accused Romeo and Mcintosh. During the transaction, Romeo and McIntosh and another man all entered the vehicle and drove away without the complainant’s consent or agreed payment made.
A report was subsequently made to the police, and an investigation commenced.
Further that afternoon a team of lawmen intercepted the stolen vehicle at a car wash along the Prospect Main Road in St Thomas in the possession of Campbell.
He was subsequently taken into custody, and the motor vehicle was seized.
A separate operation conducted subsequent to the recovery of the motor vehicle resulted in the apprehension of Romeo and McIntosh.
On Saturday, March 22, the men were charged following a question-and-answer session.
