FIREARM SEIZED IN COPPERWOOD, ST. JAMES
One 9mm pistol and a magazine containing fourteen 9mm rounds were seized by the police in Copperwood District, Montpelier, St James, on Monday, April 7.
Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that at about 6:30 a.m., an operation was conducted at an address in the community, during which the firearm was found beneath a sheet of zinc at the root of a banana tree.
A man was taken into custody; however, his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
