MANCHESTER MAN CHARGED WITH 2024 MURDER

Detectives attached to the Manchester Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have slapped 23-year-old Anthony Bailey, a construction worker of Barrettpiece district, Kendal, Manchester, with several charges following the May 1st, 2024, murder of a bartender in New Green district in the parish.

After almost a year, Bailey, who was accosted on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, during an operation in Kendal district, Manchester is facing the charges of Murder, Conspiracy to Murder, Shooting with Intent, Conspiracy to Shooting with Intent, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony.

The incident which claimed the life of 46-year-old Kerrean Nicole Airy, a bartender of Cumberland, Gregory Park, in St Catherine, happened on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at about 12:44 p.m. When Airy was at her bar, armed men entered, demanded money, opened gunfire at her, and injured another woman.

Both women were rushed to hospital where Airy succumbed, and the bystander was treated and released.

Bailey was officially charged on Friday, April 4th, 2025, after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney. A court date for him is being finalised.
