Portland Farmer Slapped With Gun-Related Charges

Shooting with Intent, Possession of a  Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition and Using a Prohibited Weapon to Commit a Felony are charges that have been laid upon 55-year-old Gary Harris of Prospect Fishing Village, Port Antonio, Portland, following an incident in his community on Thursday, June 26.

Reports from the Port Antonio Police are that at about 7:30 p.m., a man was at his place of business when he was attacked by Harris, who was armed with a firearm and opened gunfire at him. The man in fear of his life ran to escape injuries. Harris then made his escape in the area on foot.

A report was made to the police, and Harris was listed as a person of interest, he later turned himself in to the police and was subsequently charged.

His court date is being finalised.
