‘BOP BOP’ FACES GUN RELATED CHARGES
Detectives assigned to the St. Catherine South Policing Division have charged 18-year-old Jamar Brown, otherwise called ‘Bop Bop,’ a labourer of Hill Avenue, Mall Road, Kingston 10, and Gordon Wood District, Old Harbour, St. Catherine, with Possession of Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition following an incident in his community on Thursday, July 3.
Reports from the Portmore police are that at about 4:45 a.m., lawmen acting on information visited a premises occupied by Brown and conducted a search during which a silver and black .38 revolver containing three rounds of ammunition was found under a pillow on his bed.
Brown was taken into custody and subsequently charged for the offence. His court date is being finalised.
