ST. THOMAS CHEF CHARGED WITH POSSESSION AND DEALING IN GANJA

Lawmen attached to the St. Thomas Policing Division have arrested and charged 42-year-old Delano Rankin otherwise called ‘Scott,’ a chef of Mount Pellaire, Yallahs, St. Thomas with Possession and Dealing in Ganja following an incident on Friday, July 11.

Reports from the Morant Bay Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are that on the date mentioned above, at about noon, Rankin was seen at a bar on Queen Street, Morant Bay in the parish. On seeing the police, he started to act in a manner that aroused their suspicion.

Rankin was approached and accosted. He was searched and thirteen (13) transaparent bags containing ganja; Thrity-nine Thousand, Three Hundred and Fifty-seven (39, 357.00) JMD, five Canadian cents and ten Cayman dollars were found in a waist bag he was carrying.

He was subsequently charged following a caution statement.

His court date is being finalised.
