KINGSTON MEN CHARGED FOR ROBBERY WITH AGGRAVATION
Sleuths assigned to the St. Catherine North Policing Division have charged three men with Robbery with Aggravation following an incident on Port Henderson Road, Spanish Town, in the parish on Saturday, July 5.
Charged are:
- 26-year-old Randy May, of Cockburn Avenue, Kingston 14,
- 30-year-old Nicholas Berry, of Spanish Town Road, Kingston 14, and
- 27-year-old Carvel Campbell, of Bond Street, Kingston.
Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that at about 11:30 a.m., a teen boy was walking along the roadway heading towards Dela Vega City when he was pounced upon by the accused men. One of the men reportedly approached the teen, held him up, and robbed him of his iPhone 16 Pro Max before escaping in a waiting motorcar. The stolen phone is valued at $285,000 JMD.
A report was made to the police, and CCTV footage of the incident assisted investigators in tracking the vehicle, which was later intercepted in the Stony Hill area. The accused men and another man were seen aboard. The men were taken into custody on reasonable suspicion.
On Saturday, July 26, May, Berry, and Campbell were charged after an interview in the presence of their respective attorneys.
They are to appear in the St. Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, July 29.
