BUSINESSMAN CHARGED WITH RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY AND OTHER OFFENCES
Twenty-five-year-old Sadre Whyte, a businessman, of Sawmill District, Christina, Manchester, has been charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Uttering Forged Documents, Possession of Forged Documents, Fraudulent Use of Registration plates, Engaging in a transaction involving criminal property following an incident in December 2024.
Reports from the Spanish Town police are that at about 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the owner of a 2009 Toyota Axio motor car parked his motor vehicle and went to bed. When he woke the following day, he realised that his motorcar had been stolen. On Friday, August 8, the vehicle was seen at Flavours Beach in Runaway Bay, St Ann, in the presence of Whyte.
The police were alerted, and upon their arrival the vehicle was pointed out by the owner. Whyte produced documents of Certificate of Registration, Fitness, and Insurance bearing his name and stated that he bought the motor vehicle from someone known to him. Investigation revealed that the documents for the vehicle were forged.
Whyte was taken into custody and was subsequently charged with the offences.
His court date is being finalised.
