TWO MEN FACED WITH MULTIPLE CHARGES
Assault at Common Law, Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm, Possession of Prohibited Weapon and Assault Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm are the charges that have been laid against two men following an incident on Red Hills Road, Kingston 8, on Tuesday, August 12.
Charged are 29-year-old Rushane Ward, otherwise called ‘Jugzy’, a plumber, and 32-year-old Oshane Ward, a carpenter, both residing at Red Hills Road, Kingston 19, St. Andrew.
Reports from the Constant Spring Police are that between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., two women were arguing when both men intervened. She was then dragged by both men towards a house where Rushane held onto the woman, and Oshane threatened her with a handgun, which he placed against her neck.
The woman managed to escape and made a report to the police. An investigation was launched, and the men were captured in their community. They were arrested and taken into custody, where they were charged on Saturday, August 16.
Their court dates are being finalised.
