KINGSTON MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER

Thirty-one-year-old Tavin Tucker, otherwise known as ‘Butter’, a labourer of Dilpath Crescent, Kingston 11, charged following an incident along Marcus Garvey Drive on Thursday, August 07.

According to reports from the Hunts Bay Police, at about 10:15 p.m., Tucker and three other armed men were travelling in a white motorcar along the roadway when the vehicle was used to deliberately knock a motorcyclist off his bike. The men then exited the car and approached the complainant, leading to a physical altercation.

The complainant managed to flee onto the road and signalled a nearby police unit. Upon noticing the police presence, Tucker and his accomplices attempted to escape. During the pursuit, Tucker lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a median. All four men exited the car and fled on foot into the Greenwich Town community.

Tucker turned himself in to the police on Monday, August 11. He has since been formally charged with Attempted Murder. His court date is being finalised.
