CLARENDON BUSINESSMAN CHARGED WITH SEVERAL OFFENCES
Detectives assigned to the Clarendon Police Division have charged 44-year-old David Morris of Central Avenue, Bushy Park, Clarendon with Assault at Common Law,
Use of a firearm to Commit a Felony, Assault occasioning Bodily Harm and Malicious Destruction of Property following an incident in Race Track, Denbigh, in the parish on Monday, September 8.
Reports are that at about 1:30 p.m., Morris and a man had a dispute, where Morris physically assaulted the man and tore his shirt. During the fracas, Morris then pulled his licensed firearm and pointed it at the man while issuing threatening words. A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched.
During the investigation, Morris was arrested. He was charged after he was interviewed; however, his court date has not been finalised.
