‘PRINCE’ FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES
The St. Andrew South Police have charged 20-year-old Romando Simpson, otherwise called ‘Prince’, a construction worker of Regent Street, Denham Town, Kingston 14, for Murder, Possession of Prohibited Weapon and Ammunition and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony following an incident in Cobourn Gardens, Kingston 11 on Sunday, May 25.
The dead is 22-year-old Judas Clarke, otherwise known as ‘Froggy,’ a kitchen assistant at Maple View Road in Cobourn Gardens, Kingston 11.
Reports are that at about 7:00 p.m., Clarke was sitting outside his home when he was approached by Simpson, who was armed with a handgun. Simpson then opened fire, hitting Clarke before escaping on a waiting motorcycle. The police were summoned, and Clarke was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following an intensive investigation, Simpson was arrested and subsequently charged on Friday, October 17, after a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney.
