ST CATHERINE LABOURER CHARGED AFTER FIREARM SEIZURE

Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorised Possession of Ammunition charges have been laid against 32-year-old labourer Richard Henry, otherwise called ‘Chardo,’ of Crackers Lane, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, following an incident in his community on Monday, November 24.

Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that at about 1:50 a.m., a team of lawmen were on operation in the area; when a search was conducted at Henry’s premises. During the search a Taurus G3C pistol along with a magazine containing seven 9mm cartridges was found. They were seized, and Henry was taken into custody, where he was subsequently charged.

His court date is being finalised.
