
ST. ELIZABETH MAN CHARGED FOR 2011 DOUBLE MURDER
Lawmen assigned to the St. Elizabeth Policing Division have charged 41-year-old Andre Daniels, a labourer of Middle Quarters District, St. Elizabeth with Murder (2 counts), Wounding with intent, Illegal possession of firearm, Illegal possession of ammunition and Assault at common law following an incident in his community on Thursday, June 09.
Dead are 24-year-old Andrew Grey and 19-year-old Dave Davis, both of Middle Quarters, in the parish.
Reports from the Black River Police are that at about 8:00 p.m., Daniels visited a woman with whom he has an ongoing issue at her house. Whilst there, he reportedly pulled a firearm from his waistband and opened fire at the occupants, hitting three persons. Daniels then made his escape on foot in the area. The injured persons were taken to the hospital, where both men were pronounced dead and the other injured individual was treated and admitted. An official report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched.
On Tuesday, December 16, Daniels was arrested during a targeted operation and was later charged following a question-and-answer session.
His court date is being arranged.
