
FARMER CHARGED WITH ASSAULT AND SIMPLE LARCENY
Thirty-two-year-old Kevol Rankine, a farmer of Wait-A-Bit, Trelawny, has been charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and Simple Larceny following an incident along Main Street, Christiana, Manchester, on Friday, January 09.
Reports from the Christiana Police are that at about 10:30 p.m., a dispute developed between Rankine and a woman, in which he physically assaulted the woman causing bruises and swelling. It was further reported that Rankine took an iPhone valued at JMD $100,000.00 from the complainant and made his escaped. The matter was reported to the police, and Rankine was charged with the mentioned offence.
His court date is being finalised.
