
KINGSTON MEN CHARGED WITH SIMPLE LARCENY AND MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
Detectives from the St. Catherine South Policing Division have charged three 19-year-old men following an incident on Ewart Crescent, Portmore, St Catherine on Thursday, March 26.
The accused are:
- Michael Douglas, electrician of Zacky Avenue, Kingston 14.
- Shaquille Reid, otherwise called ‘Paul,’ bus conductor
- Anthony Thompson, otherwise called ‘Biggs,’ both of Tangerine Road, Kingston 12.
Reports are that at about 3:00 a.m., the three men allegedly went to a man’s home and broke the rear window of his motor truck. A relative alerted the man, who then contacted the police. Upon their arrival, the team reportedly found the men inside the vehicle. They were apprehended and taken into custody.
The accused men are also alleged to have damaged a sound system, two speaker boxes, and two tweeter boxes. The total damage is estimated at JMD $1,340,000.
The men were formally charged with Simple Larceny and Malicious Destruction of Property following a question-and-answer session and caution statements recorded in the presence of their attorneys.
Their court date is being finalised.
