The St. Ann Police have charged a 15-year-old boy for House-breaking and Larceny following an incident in Back Hampstead, Runaway Bay in St Ann on Wednesday, May 19.
Reports are that at about 10:00 a.m., the complainant reported to the Police that his Macbook Pro laptop computer—valued at approximately 300,000 JMD—was stolen from his house. The Police launched an investigation into the theft, which led to the arrest of the minor. The juvenile was taken into custody and reportedly confessed to the crime during an interview.
Investigators say the teen later them to St. James Avenue in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, where he reportedly traded the computer for an iPhone.
His court date is not yet finalised.
