Robbery with Aggravation, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony charges have been laid against 24-year-old Richard Williams, otherwise called ‘Black Bwoy,’ of Georges Lane, Kingston, following an incident along Water Lane in the parish on Wednesday, June 15.

Reports from the Central Police are that at about 7:30 p.m., Williams, armed with a handgun, and an accomplice approached three men at a business establishment. They held up the men and robbed them of cash, a debit card, and several cellphones before escaping on foot in the area.

 A report was made to the police following the robbery, and an investigation was launched into the matter. Lawmen acted quickly and apprehended Williams close to the scene shortly after the commission of the crime with two of the stolen cellphones in his possession. He was taken into custody, where he was charged on Tuesday, July 1.

His court date is being arranged.
