April 25, 2021-One man has been arrested and charged with the murder of 26-year-old O’Brian Cunningham, otherwise called ‘OB’, of Hudson Street, Savanna-la-Mar in Westmoreland which occurred along Hudson Street in the parish on Wednesday, April 14.
Charged with Murderis 21-year-old Garth Spence, otherwise called ‘Bruck Up’, of Hudson Street in the parish.
Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar Police are that about 11:30 p.m., Cunningham and a female companion went to a shop when he was attacked by three men to include Spence. The female summoned the Police and on their arrival, a blood trail was seen. Cunningham was later found in bushes with multiple wounds to the head. He was taken to the hospital where death was confirmed.
On Monday, April 19, the police conducted an operation at a premises located at Hudson Street, Savanna-la-mar in the parish where Spence was apprehended and placed into custody. On Saturday, April 24, he was charged based on an eyewitness statement.
His court date is being finalised.
