ST THOMAS MAN FOUND GUILTY OF MURDER
Twenty-seven-year-old Raheem Burgher, a farmer of Danvers Pen, St. Thomas was found guilty of the murder of 42-year-old Frank Williams of Danvers Pen, St. Thomas when he appeared before the St. Thomas Circuit Court on Tuesday, October 8.
Reports are that on Saturday, June 22, 2019, Williams was driving his Toyota Corolla motor car along the Danvers Pen main road when he reportedly struck the side view mirror of the motor vehicle that Burgher was driving. However, Williams did not stop. Later that day, Burgher then visited Williams’ home and confronted him about the incident.
Williams then attacked Burgher with a machete and a knife. Burgher then disarmed Williams and used the knife to stab him. The police were alerted, and, on their arrival, Williams was seen with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation was launched, and Burgher was arrested. He was subsequently charged and
will be sentenced on Thursday, October 17.
