CARPENTER CHARGED WITH MURDER
Forty-four-year-old Dwayne Forbes, otherwise called ‘Creg,’ a carpenter of Little King Street, Kingston 14, has been charged with Murder, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition, and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony following the shooting death of a man at Christopher Road, Kingston 11, on Saturday, July 19.
Dead is 29-year-old Neco Cole of Christopher Road, Kingston 11.
Reports from the Denham Town Police are that at about 5:20 a.m., Forbes was among men who reportedly went to Coles’ home and instructed him to open the door. Upon entry, the men opened gunfire, hitting Cole in the upper body, before making their escape in the area.
The police were summoned, and upon their arrival, Cole was taken to the hospital, where his death was confirmed.
Forbes subsequently turned himself over to the police and was formally charged following a question-and-answer session and a witness statement implicating him.
His court date is being finalised.
