Twenty-eight-year-old Dave Brown otherwise called ‘Buju’ a labourer of Waterlane District, Clarendon has been charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition in connection to an incident along Longwood main road, Clarendon on Friday, January 19.
Reports are that about 2:40 p.m., a police team was on patrol in the Longwood community, when a Grey Toyota Probox motor car driven by Brown, in the company of four other passengers, was intercepted and searched. During the search, a bag was found to contain one black Glock pistol fitted with a magazine containing nine rounds of .40 cartridges.
On Monday, January 22, Brown was arrested and subsequently charged after an interview. He is schedule to appear in Clarendon Parish Court on Thursday, January 25.
