DISTILLERY WORKER CHARGED FOLLOWING BREACH OF THE FIREARMS ACT
A distillery worker of McWinnie Street, Lionel Town, Clarendon, has been charged with Possession of Prohibited Weapon (Imitation Firearm) following a seizure at his house on Wednesday, July 9.
Charged is 27-year-old Devon Walters.
Reports from the May Pen Police are that at about 11:00 a.m., lawmen acting on information carried out an intelligence-led operation at Walters’ address. During the search an imitation firearm was found wrapped in white cloth inside the house. The firearm was seized, and he was taken into custody, where he was charged.
A court date is being finalised for him.
