EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD HANOVER MAN CHARGED WITH HOUSEBREAKING AND LARCENY

The Hanover Police have charged 18-year-old Nicholas Kerr, otherwise called ‘AJ’, of Prosper district, Lucea, Hanover, with Housebreaking and Larceny (school) in relation to an incident that occurred on Watson Taylor Drive, Lucea, in the parish on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Reports from the Lucea Police are that at about 9:10 p.m., a man who was on duty as a security guard heard sounds coming from the building and went to make checks, when he reportedly saw two men on the roof. An alarm was raised, and the men made good their escape in the area on foot.

A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched. CCTV footage showed that the men gained entry to the premises by removing several window blades before stealing food items and a table valued at $16.00 USD.

Following the investigation, Kerr, who was listed as a person of interest, turned himself in to the police on Thursday, August 14, and was later charged after a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.

Kerr’s court date is being finalised, and his accomplice is being sought by the police.
