EXPORT OFFICER CHARGED WITH LARCENY AS A SERVANT

Detectives assigned to the St. Catherine South Policing Division have charged an export officer with Larceny as a Servant after a series of incidents at a business establishment in Portmore, St. Catherine, between Tuesday, June 03, and Sunday, July 13.

Charged is 28-year-old Shakira Wright, of Lejune Avenue, Keystone, St Catherine.

Reports from the Portmore Police are that Wright, who was employed as a clerk, made several online transfers from the company’s PayPal account to her personal PayPal account between the aforementioned dates, amounting to $2,697.40 USD. The missing monies were discovered in an audit done by the complainant.

A report was made to the police, and Wright was subsequently arrested and taken into custody. She was formally charged after she gave a caution statement and an interview in the presence of her attorney.

Her court date is being finalised.
